Butchers Tour to AVO Headquarters in Germany, May 2024
In May 2024, Innovative Food Ingredients (IFI) arranged a superb and engaging Butchers tour to the AVO headquarters in Osnabruck, Germany. This special event brought together butchers from different areas of the UK, to discover more about the leading ingredient manufacturer.
The group included fourteen butchers from around the UK from Butchers and Farm Shops, including Honeywell’s, Charles McHardy, Neil Powells, Mettrick Butchers, Robertshaws Farm Shop, Giglis Butchers, Millets Farm Shop.
The IFI team (Chantelle, Peter & Carley) along with the team at AVO, planned a busy and fun itinerary for the three day trip to ensure the group got the most out of their visit.
Additionally, the team was fortunate to have IFI and AVO Brand Ambassador Harry Thomas from Millets Farm Shop on board, whose passions for the brand and added value products brought great insights to the group.
The group had the opportunity to see AVO’s state-of-the-art facilities and technologies in action, learning about the newest developments in the field. The tour provided a platform for networking and idea-sharing among industry peers, as well as a chance to experience Germany’s culture.
During the visit, the group was given an exclusive tour of the AVO factory, where they were able to see firsthand the production process of AVO products. They learned about the different flavour profiles that AVO offers and how they are created, as well as the innovative production concepts that are new for the UK Butchery Market..
An exclusive tasting session allowed the group to sample a variety of new product techniques and flavour profiles set to launch in the UK. The event was a great opportunity for everyone to unwind and socialise. The Go Karting competition was a highlight, with participants feeling the rush of adrenaline as they raced around the track. Peter Rushforth from IFI showed impressive skills and determination, ultimately emerging as the victorious winner.
