A wealth of experience
It all began back in 1945 when my father, Tom Brennand, was brought back to the UK to recover after being injured during the battle of Anzio. After a year’s recuperation in hospital and at the age of 20, he applied to become an apprentice butcher at R Lomas in Blackpool. After spending several years serving the people of Blackpool and learning the trade, he was approached by Mr Lucas of T Lucas & Co. He took on the responsibility of area sales representative and looked after customers throughout the North West. At the age of 49, Dad set up Fylde Butchers Supplies, a company that initially focused on ingredients.
Serving customers from Carlisle to South Cheshire, the business flourished and I was heavily influenced by his Dad’s passion, hard work and dedication to his trade. Following in Dad’s footsteps, I joined the family business and decided that there was an opportunity to expand the product range to include machinery and a wider range of sundries and packaging.
Several years passed and more recently, IFI was born and we have been successfully supplying quality ingredients to the retail butchery and processing sectors ever since. Our commitment, knowledge, passion and expertise enables us to satisfy our customers’ needs in terms of quality, value for money and we truly believe that our service is second to none.
